West coast port delays remain in place. This has been caused by an increase in volume, coupled with a decrease in port and warehouse workers due to COVID restrictions. This has resulted in average delays of 9 days for containers into the port of Oakland. These delays are expected to worsen throughout the remainder of Q1.
A recent video taken by the Coast Guard shows the number of ships that are at anchor outside of the port of Los Angeles, which you can view here. There is also a video of the container ships anchored in the bay of San Francisco, which you can view here.
