What impact will the Olympics have on Shipping?
Our French vendors have forecast likely disruptions before and during the Olympic period starting now. Authorities note that the movement of goods will also be delayed as venues and events prepare to host the predicted 500,000 visitors to Paris and venues throughout France.
Normal operations are expected to to return after the conclusion of the Paralympics which go from 28 August to 8 September 2024.
While there has been some talk of strike action around the Olympics our vendors are hopeful that this will not result in actual action as the spotlight is focused on delivering the Olympics.
