Labor Day Closures, Beaujolais Nouveau 2023, OND Plan Ahead, Chile, Low Volume Lanes Update

Operations Update

USA Labor Day Holiday- September 4th, 2023
Elenteny Imports along with US ports, rail facilities, and warehouses will be closed for Labor Day.  Normal operations for all logistics related activities will resume on Tuesday, September 5th.

Beaujolais Nouveau 2023 is Thursday, November 16th
If you intend to bring in Beaujolais Nouveau this year, please work with your wineries to make sure they are ready in plenty of time.  The earliest legal date of departure is the week of October 16th.  We will keep you informed as timelines and details firm up over the next few weeks.  Please note: With time-sensitive shipments like Beaujolais Nouveau, there are many factors to consider that may affect delivery dates: Delays due to bad weather, slow steaming, restricted capacity, port congestion, warehouse delays, etc. may prevent you getting your shipment by its original projected delivery date.  Please plan accordingly.  We will do our best to make sure delivery is as timely as possible.

OND Plan Ahead
As we fast approach the crucial last quarter of the year, we encourage you to enter your orders as early as possible.  If you plan to use our FCL or LCL service to the West Coast, slower shipment times mean that you should plan to have your Thanksgiving orders in now.

Chile
Argentina mountain pass (Libertadores Pass) has been closed since last week, but is scheduled to be re-opened.  The closure has resulted in a backlog of ~10,000 trucks waiting to cross, with the potential for further closures due to bad weather.  Shipments from Chile may be delayed.
