CBMA
Last year we helped our importers to recover almost $1.5M in CBMA credits.
The process for CBMA has changed this year, but don’t let that stop you from getting your refund. You can continue to claim throughout the year, even if you haven’t started yet. Need help claiming your CBMA? Check out Elenteny’s free webinar for step-by-step instruction on how to navigate the process.
We Still Have Some Space on Portuguese, Australian and South American Containers
The available space varies depending on lane so please reach out to your sales representative or support@elentenyimports.com for more information. Typically our Portuguese containers ship on a monthly frequency, and our Australian and South American containers ship on a quarterly frequency. Space is allocated on a first come first served basis.
French Industrial Action Continues to Escalate
To date disruption of ports has been limited, however, as the industrial action escalates we anticipate that industrial action may disrupt shipments. We encourage our customers to allow extra time for shipments originating in France.
Port Updates as of March 8th:
New York: Continues to have a fluid situation at all terminals. Average pickup times are 2-3 days with little to no appointment delays at New York metro area 3PL warehouses.
Oakland: Vessel wait times are 2 days at most. In spite of restrictions on container returns or sporadic equipment shortages, port operations are fluid with minimal wait-times and even some pickups before free-time expiration.
Los Angeles/Long Beach: Fluid with minimum wait times despite some equipment shortages, consignees are able to get containers off the yard without delay.
Houston: As reported before, some berth waiting times up to five days. Some delays persist due to availability of equipment, general congestion and two cranes out of action.
