March Newsletter

We’ve woven this week’s update into the monthly newsletter so you can get all your import news in a single click.

Operations Update

See you at VinExpo NY:  We will be attending VinExpo NY – March 8th – 9th at the Javits Center in NY.  Come find us at booth number 1509 – If you are attending, please drop by our booth, or if you would prefer a dedicated time, please reach out to your account rep, or support@elentenyimports.com.

Rosé Timelines:  We have some updates for you on the current timelines for Rose shipments.  As port congestion continues to lessen and the impact of COVID moves further and further into the past, the pace has quickened for shipments coming out of Southern France.  Currently, we are seeing an average timeframe of 7 weeks from when a Rosé shipment is ready at the producer, to when it is ready for pickup in New Jersey.  Please make sure that you are planning accordingly if you have any deadlines you wish to hit for your Rosé sales.

Greek Container Space:  If you are planning on importing Greek wine we have good news!  We are offering less than container load service from Greece to New York. Please reach out to your sales representative, or support@elentenyimports.com if you are interested in learning more about this shipment.

Sidekick Warehouse – California Email Change:  Sidekick has now transitioned to ca@hillebrandlastmile.com as their one point of contact for everyone and everything.  When you email, be sure to be very clear in your email to use known key words.  For example: URGENT : 2.22.23:  Att : Charisse :  Scheduling : Truck Can’t pick up INV568974

Customer Spotlight: Vintage Wine Marketing

Steven and Faith Ventrello are the founders of Vintage Wine Marketing, importers, distributors and brokers of fine wines from Europe and California.

Steve has been in the wine business over thirty years working in wine sales & marketing in California, and Faith spent 12 years working as an executive in the Music Industry, including Elektra Records in NYC, as well as Capitol Records and Virgin in Los Angeles.

In 1998, Steve and Faith founded Parador Cellars, a boutique winery focusing on single vineyard sites of Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley.

They have a new project underway, rehabilitating a vacant building in downtown Napa, where they will be opening FolkLore, a Record Store/Wine and Cocktail Bar/Cafe which will also house the FM Radio Station (KCMU 103.3FM in Napa or stream at naparadio.org) Faith established five years ago.  FolkLore will have a deep and diverse wine list, featuring the Parador wines, that will appeal to both locals and visitors to the Napa Valley.
