March Newsletter

We’ve woven this week’s update into the monthly newsletter so you can get all your import news in a single click.

Operations Update:

It is too early to tell what further disruptions the Ukraine conflict will cause to the world wide supply chain, however, we continue to remind our customers to place orders as early as possible, especially for West Coast shipments.  We have previously recommended allowing an extra 4 – 6 weeks for your orders.  We are extending the guidance to 6 – 8 weeks.

Coast to coast freight is being increasingly delayed, customers should plan on allowing 6 – 8 weeks via normal LTL reefer carriers.  For Elenteny partners, we are working to address these delays by offering a bi-weekly service from FDL -> Sidekick, we will publish more details as soon as we have finalized them.

Reefer Availability in France
We are seeing an increasing delay in obtaining reefer containers in France, this includes canceled sailings as reefers are not available for the sailings they are booked on.  Please take this into account when booking French sailings.

CBMA Program
Save up to $2.38 per 9L case on your shipments through our CBMA program. The way our CBMA program works is that we will file this request for you. There is a filing fee at the time your shipment request is placed. In order to file this we need a signed CBMA letter from the vineyard/distiller/brewery. Learn more here.

Customer Spotlight: Bon Vin Selections

Bon Vin Selections was born from a passion for food, wine and people sparked by a trip to the Loire Valley in France.  We are living in a golden age for wine and spirits and there is a greater diversity of options and styles than at any time in history.

Growers and producers from around the world have continued to hone their craft, become better stewards of the land, and adapt to a changing and increasingly inhospitable climate. Bon Vin’s goal is to seek out small producers that are passionate about the wines and spirits they are making, have an interesting and honest story to share, and respect the traditions of the past while also looking towards the future.

Bon Vin Selections is most interested in small, family farms that focus on organic, biodynamic, and natural winemaking.
