French Strikes End!
On Wednesday, we confirmed that all planned strikes scheduled for June 2024 have been canceled. Strike action has been suspended by the FNPD CGT labor union representing port labor until after the Olympic and Para-Olympic Games, with commentators noting that strike action is now planned for sometime in September.
Shipments from Le Havre and Fos Ports will now be scheduled on available sailings. Some delays due to earlier strike action may be experienced, but we expect this to clear by the end of June.

Inclement Weather Closes Chile & Argentina Pass Again
On 8 June, 2024 extreme winter weather again closed the pass between Chile and Argentina. Expect the closure to result in trucking delays as transits are slowed. Chilean authorities are not expecting the weather to improve in the coming week. Please ensure that you plan a buffer of a few weeks lead time for any orders departing South American Ports.
