Customer Spotlight: True North Wine Merchants

True North Wine Merchants was founded by wine industry veterans Sara Beer and Jonah Beer. Together they select and celebrate wineries that have a clear vision. A raison d’être.  A true north.

Sara spent 13 years developing California wholesale sales at Duckhorn Wine Company, leading a diverse sales team representing 6 wineries. During her tenure, the Duckhorn portfolio became the most successful winery-direct wholesale sales model in the California luxury wine industry.

Jonah is a 25-year veteran of the US fine-wine business. Recently Jonah was the General Manager and Vice President of Frog’s Leap in the Napa Valley, responsible for developing and overseeing the national footprint of the winery. Thanks to his time at Frog—and Stag’s Leap before that—Jonah has deep relationships throughout the nation’s vast (and complex) distributor network.

Both Sara and Jonah are devotees of Burgundy, Piedmont, Oregon and classic Napa Cabs.
