Tariff Pause Extension
Late yesterday, President Trump signed an Executive Order extending the deadline for reciprocal tariffs from July 9 to August 1, 2025. This extension provides time for trade negotiations with countries that have acted to modify trading relationships with the United States. Link to Tariff Tracker.
The 10% tariff rate on imports will continue until August 1, 2025. Our industry continues to monitor EU negotiations closely, and while reports indicate progress is being made, no official agreement has been reached. Read the US Wine Trade Alliance here

The August 1 extension will not provide an opportunity for our customers to get in rush orders to beat this new timeframe. Our shipments are currently fully booked and orders processed now will arrive on the East Coast in early September and on the West Coast in Mid October.
Winery Closures
If you are planning on ordering prior to your winery closing, please work on submitting your order ASAP. We want to make sure there is enough time for your order to be prepared and for a pick up scheduled. Many wineries have moved up their summer closing dates so they return with plenty of time before harvest.
We strongly urge all customers to ensure adequate inventory coverage during summer winery closures. By now many wineries will be close to reaching their processing deadlines for orders that can be released prior to their summer closure. This means orders received after the deadline will generally enter the queue after the winery reopens in late August/early September, and those orders will not land on the East Coast until October. Please plan accordingly.
Notice for Organic Shipments
If you have wine arriving during summer months, you must have your NOP (National Organic Program) certificates ready before wineries close.
- It is your responsibility to provide NOP certificates to our team
- Certificates must be submitted before winery closures begin
- Failure to provide required documentation may result in demurrage billed back
