CBMA Update

System updates now allow us to show real-time CBMA gallon allocations! Orders that contain CBMA-allocated items will also be indicated on the POs. CBMA is a worthwhile tax rebate program, and in 2024, we were able to return nearly 1,046,000 to our freight customers who utilize the service.

If you’d like to learn more about CBMA please reach out to sales@elentenyimports.com or our CBMA team CBMA@elentenyimports.com

Disclosure of Allergen TTB proposal

TTB has published a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM), which proposes to require a label disclosure of all major food allergens used in the production of alcoholic beverages and to require Alcohol Facts label disclosures for alcoholic beverages.

The final NPRMs are based upon the input received and seek public comment on the proposals published today.  Head to the link above to see how to participate in the public comment period. The comment period will be open for 90 days.

Tariff Update

The inauguration of President Trump brought about a wave of executive orders, including the America First Trade Policy, and whilst much has been forecast about the possibility of tariffs impacting the beverage and alcohol industry, these have yet to be announced.   Significantly, the policy (linked above) directs agencies to investigate potential tariffs with a report due to the President by April 1 2025.

Elenteny is working with the US Wine Trade Alliance (USWTA).  USWTA is actively working hard to influence the direction of future policy on tariffs to protect the interests of our industry.

Cataloged here are recent articles that discuss the impact of potential tariffs:
