New TTB Advice on Alcohol Advertising
On 1 November 2024, the TTB released revised requirements governing the advertising of alcoholic products including on social media platforms. Advertising material includes any written or verbal statement, illustration, or depiction, which is in, or calculated to induce sales in, interstate or foreign commerce, or is disseminated by mail.
With the increased use of Instagram, TikTok, and other forms of social media to advertise and drive sales, alcohol importers and distributors must be aware of their obligations.
For example:
On social media platforms where there are restrictions on the number of links that can be directly shared, a link to a link-sharing site or reference landing webpage (for example LinkTree) where the product information link is prominently displayed satisfies the requirement to provide mandatory information.

Update on ILA & USMX Contract Negotiations
On 25 October, the ILA & USXM released a joint statement noting that they would resume negotiations in New Jersey in November. 15 January 2025 remains the deadline for agreement on a new Master contract.
There is a possibility that negotiations may again stall before the master contract is finalized and future strike action may occur. Elenteny can not speculate on the decisions of the ILA & USXM, but we can help manage your inventory during this time.

Order in December to manage inventory required for Q2 in 2025 we have weekly sailings that will arrive in early January.

Explore other Ports, it may make sense for you to ship to the West Coast and truck to your final destination.
