September Organic Enrollment Opens Next Week

Elenteny’s September Enrollment Period (to import your organic wines!) opens next week and runs from 1 – 20 September.

We encourage all our customers who intend to import organic wines to enroll in our program to facilitate an easy import process.   As many of you know, we must know ahead of time about your planned organic imports to remain compliant with the USDAs SOE program.

Since the program began in March of this year, Elenteny has successfully imported over 45,000 cases of organic wine and we have proven our compliance with federal regulations.  We are a Certified Importer with an NOP #.

If you miss this enrollment period we have two more scheduled for late 2024 and early 2025 these are:

  • December 1, 2024  – December 20, 2024
  • March 2, 2025 – March 21, 2025

Hint 👍 You must register wines with a label that includes the word ORGANIC before arrival.  This includes any of the following:  “Organic”. “Organic Wine” “Made with Organic Grapes”  “Made using Organic practices”.

Not sure how to enroll, please reach out to organic@elentenyimports.com and we will provide our latest guidance.  Or you can watch the Webinar here.

International Longshoremen’s Association Contract Update

The contract between the International Longshoremen’s Association (ILA) and the USMX (United States Maritime Alliance) is set to expire on September 30, 2024 and there is a possibility of ILA strikes as the contract deadline looms with no forward movement and agreement.  Negotiations are ongoing and we will continue to monitor developments to forecast any disruption to usual operations.
