LCL Price Reduction
Our customers are increasingly taking advantage of LCL to maximize cash flow and minimize carrying costs. We are pleased to be able to support these efforts by lowering the cost of our LCL service. Please reach out to your account manager for additional LCL lane details and full pricing.
We are happy to let you know that we have received revised European tariffs. These changes will be effective on all LCL shipments departing on or after September 27th, 2023. This is our fifth price reduction of 2023. Ocean rates have overall fallen back to pre-pandemic rates. However, warehouse, drayage, and pickup costs remain at elevated levels. We do not anticipate any further rate reductions for 2023.
LCL price reductions range from $0.10 a case to $2.44 a case. The popular France -> NY lane cost per case is reduced by 15% (pricing level 3) and the NY -> Italy lane is reduced by 4% (level 3).

Elenteny Imports Expands LCL Shipments Into South America
We are pleased to announce that we have expanded our reefer LCL service into South America. Using Less than Container Load (LCL), importers can now order smaller, more frequent shipments of wine, spirits, and beer directly from South American vineyards or distilleries to temperature-controlled warehouses in New York and Oakland. Elenteny’s tailored LCL services include initial pickup to last-mile delivery and all the logistics and compliance details in between.
Flexibility in ordering is critical during times of high carrying costs. Elenteny’s LCL shipments allow importers to ship smaller amounts of wine, spirits, and beer while preserving cash flow during uncertain times.

Federal Shutdown
The US government will partially shut down on Sunday unless an agreement is reached on future funding. In the event of a shutdown, Customs and Border Patrol would continue to function. However, certain functions of the TTB are not considered essential and would therefore be impacted. The immediate concern for our customers would be delays in processing COLAs. It is also likely that CBMA claims and payments would also be delayed.
