2021 CBMA update

 

Congress passed a permanent extension of CBMA. The current rules will be in place for 2022. For 2023 and beyond, the current plan is to change the way in which the act is implemented, and importers will pay the pre-CBMA tax rates at time of entry. We need new letters from your suppliers to clear your order at the lowered rate for 2022. Below is a link to generate a letter for the calendar year. After the letter is signed by your supplier. Please email your letters to cbma@elentenyimports.com.   Click here to generate your 2022 CBMA assignment letters  Letters must be turned in signed and dated no later than 2 weeks prior to the shipments port arrival date. We will need your letter with all new PO submissions to apply the 2021 CBMA rate to your order should the program continue. Elenteny Imports will be raising the cost per supplier invoice from $25 to $45. Our costs over the past year have increased to support the program and ensure proper filing.
